Don't let the title fool you! This piece begins as a slow understated funk groove, but quickly evolves into much more. Flugelhorn (Trumpet 4) is featured on the melody and gets some blowing space. Midway through our straight funk feel changes to swing, featuring a great sax soli and shout chorus, then returns to funk for a darkly colored and introspective outro vamp. Check this out!
