The title of this swing original refers to the confidence-building block voicings that allow developing musicians to work towards uniform jazz phrasing and articulations. An 'as is' or 'ad lib' solo for tenor saxophone is provided, but the solo section can be opened up for additional players. This chart is playable with as few as 9 pieces and is expandable all the way to a 17-piece big band and beyond, since optional flute, clarinet, horn in f, tuba and vibes parts are also included!
