Beschreibung:
This is a medium shuffle blues (quarter note=132) in D flat, originally scored by Frank Foster for the Basie Orchestra. It has now been reduced for a little big band--(2tpt, 1 t-bone, 3 saxes, and rhythm, p-b-d-g-). There are a few things that must be pointed out. The lead tpt lines and most of the other lead lines are still in tact. There are some trombone and sax section parts that are rescored in the piano and guitar parts. All Mr. Foster's expression, dynamic marks, etc. are all the same. Don't get scared by a few of these changes because this chart still swings like crazy and is a definite crowd-pleaser even in this new format. Trumpet highest note Eflat5. Featured soloists--trumpet, trombone, tenor sax, and piano. Instrumentation: two trumpets, one trombone, one alto, on e tenor, one baritone,. Rhythm: piano, bass, drums, and guitaar. No doubles. Medium difficult.
