As recorded on John Daversa's 'Live at Catalina's', this chart is a moderate jazz/R&B groove (swing 16ths) with a memorable, sing-able melody. It features a solo for the flute (which could be played on alto if preferred) before the ensemble restates the melody and seemingly ends. However, the R&B groove lightly begins again, as a trumpet solo begins. The ensemble steadily gains momentum, adding sections, power, and range, until the chart peaks all over again, but this time at an even higher zenith.
