The 3rd movement of Themes and Variations, a three movement jazz suite. Bossa/Samba. The rhythm intro establishes a bossa/samba feeling. The opening theme (letters A B and C) is mostly unison.It is not necessary for every horn to be playing , except for measures 7 and 8 in letter A and measures 7 and 8 in letter B. Letters D and E are the first variation (ensemble). Letters F and G are open for solos. Letter F includes an optional background on cue. Trpt to written B above staff. A,T, B, 1 trpt, bone, G,P,B,D. Medium difficult.
