This straight eigth note piece is reminiscent of music that has been released on the ECM label. It begins with a rubato section featuring piano and flugel horn and then falls into a loose bossa. The melody is offset by Harmon muted trumpets and trombones. This song features tenor saxophone and trumpet. There is a short saxophone section soli and a section that changes meter to 7/4. New layers are gradually added to this new groove until an exciting climax is reached when the melody returns on top of many other layers.
