This chart has a great Killer Joe type groove and a very beautiful melody. There is a great sax soli and a challenging tutti section. This chart is a great first-set closer or opener of a second set. Soloist: Trumpet and tenor saxophone. Trumpet highest note C5 (two octaves above middle C). 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, (the fourth being a bass trombone), 2 altos, 2 tenors, 1 baritone sax. Rhythm: piano, bass, and drums (guitar optional). No doubles.
