Paying tribute to the wonderful music created by Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays in the 1980's and 90's (notice the wordplay in the title), this driving original for medium advanced bands features an energetic groove and a tune that's both rhythmic and melodic. Solos are reserved for trumpet and guitar, and all trumpets double on flugelhorn. An auxiliary percussion part calling for a variety of colorful instruments -- wind chimes, shakers, vibraslap, congas, glockenspiel - supplements each set. Duration 7:20.
