Michael

Standard jazz ensemble, 4th Trumpet doubles on flugelhorn.

Written in memory of Michael Jackson, The King Of Pop, this driving funk original built on a minor motive embodies many of the elements of great big band writing while capturing the spirit and style of Jackson's music. Featuring sophisticated harmonies, a memorable melody, and a catchy groove laid down by bass, baritone sax and bass trombone, soloists include trumpet and tenor sax. This is one of those special charts that's playable by advancing groups, yet has enough substance for more proficient groups, too. A guitar chord chart by Jim Greeson is included.
