Written for the Jazz Arts of the Mountainwest Big Band in Salt Lake City, this chart has a fiery Brazilian/Latin groove that alternates between double and single time. There are solos over changes for the tenor sax and guitar, and the drummer gets to solo over a OPartido AltoO section in the middle. The melody is carried by trumpet, tenor, flute, and guitar. Written for 5 saxes (flute in Alto 1), 4 trumpets (lead to high OFO), 4 trombones, piano, bass, guitar, and drums.
