An uplifting, hand clapping, and dare I say it...heartbeating rock piece for big band in which the kick drum acts as a heartbeat. In certain sections of the song the audience can be invited to clap along with the 'heartbeat'. There are solos for guitar, alto sax, and drums. These can be opened up or it can be played as a short 3 minute concert piece. The title is a double entendre: it reads as 'this heartbeat is for you', but it sounds like 'this heart beats for you'. Get those heartbeats going! Trumpet to C and Trombone range is to Bb. 5,4,4,G,P,B,D. Alto 2 doubles on flute. Medium.
