Shade (part 1) is an up shuffle. Shade 2 is a ballad featuring Alto Sax, and Shades 3 is an up tempo straight ahead burner. The overall feel of the piece can best be described as 'gritty'. One of the nice things about this chart is that each section can be pulled out of thesuite and performed on its own, truly making this a versatile investment. Solos: Trpt, Alto sax, Trbn, & drums.
