Transformations is an outside blues - featuring trumpet, piano and drums. It starts off fast, is transformed into a ballad with a lyrical melody, and then back !.. to a blistering uptempo, quasi atonal blues... but not before going through an 8 bar andante interlude featuring flutes and bassoon. (Baritone will be fine). But, of course, it has to end the way it started - and it does! 5/4/4/G,P,B,D. Trumpets to D and Trombones to C.
