The first year players will enjoy this calypso groove arranged by Mike Story and the audience will enjoy Jimmy Buffett's fun and recognizable melody. Students will gain an understanding of easy syncopation, recurring rhythmical patterns, and basic jazz articulations. There is a 1st trumpet solo (written or ad lib) and modest ranges throughout to keep rehearsal time to a minimum. Don't forget that this chart will sound full with reduced instrumentation and has optional parts, too. A winning combination. (2:08)
