A densely voiced brass chorale introduces this driving jazz waltz for proficient jazz bands. Based on the chord changes to the popular jazz standard, 'I Remember You', this original is full of densely voiced altered dominant and suspended harmonies, coupled with interesting rhythms. Solo space is offered for piano, followed by a section where the drummer trades 4's with the various wind sections. Before the rousing finish the chart modulates briefly, then returns to the home key. At the end the piece, the intro. chorale is reprised in tempo before an exciting series of solo breaks for the drummer. Duration 5:00.
