Flirtations' was commissioned by Linda Mintener and the Madison Flute Choir and premiered in 2018. Flirtations has a Brazilian flavor utilizing 6th, 7th, and 9th chords and syncopated melody and rhythms. There is much interplay between the parts! The melody flows between all the sections of the flute choir and the claves provides an essential Brazilian flavor to the piece.
