Theme and Variations on the original Folk Tune. Ary van Leeuwen's variations on 'Turkey in the Straw' is one of the most popular items ever published by the publishing house founded by Albert J. Andraud, former English Horn soloist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and it became part of the Southern Music catalog when Mr. Andraud retired from the published business. Since the edition was first published in 1934, it has never been out of print, and has made its way onto solo and ensemble contest lists in many states.
