Beschreibung:
French composer, music teacher and Horn player, Jacques-François Gallay (1795-1864) studied at the Paris Conservatoire. His series, Célèbres Etudes Pour Le Cor, remains widely used to this day.
The second in Gallay's Célèbres Etudes Pour Le Cor series is 12 Grandes Études Brillantes. These studies address complex rhythms, scalic patterns, arpeggios, accidentals, chromaticism, articulation, performance directions, breath control, ornamentation, dynamics and variations in time and key signatures, among other aspects. Furthermore, this new edition is edited and revisedbyLucien Thevet, a prominent Horn player of the 20th Century. For all advanced Horn players, 12 Grandes Études Brillantes will ensure technical progression to a high standard.
