Beschreibung:
Jean Nisle was born in Neuwied in 1780. His compositions were numerous, and though mostly unknown today, were popular in his time. He wrote for many different combinations, mostly chamber music settings, but his favorite instrument was always the horn. In these brilliant duos for horn and piano, the composer expects both players to display extremes of emotional and virtuosic capabilities in order to express those feelings. Vol. I titles: I. Andante - Allegro Vivace, II. Allegro Scherzando, III. Grave - Allegretto alla Siciliano. Vol. II titles: IV. Andante quasi Adagio - Allegro, V. Allegretto, VI. Allegro alla Polacca.
