Cavallini's 'Adagio Sentimentale' is dedicated to the great Italian opera composer Gioacchino Rossini. It was contained in the second of three albums of works for clarinet and piano which Cavallini published after his return to Italy. The present edition is based on the 1870's G. Conte of Milan. Printing errors and inconsistencies between the score and solo part have been corrected.
