The 'Pulse' motif travels through the whole piece in different speeds and characters. The pulse works like a heartbeat, it is always there but shifting every bar a little bit. Pulse is also the time between impulses. Impulses can be chords, motifs or rhytms. And even the five different parts of the piece together create a pulse. Commisioned by Ottomani.
