In Angels of the Ocean, the angels referred to in the title are dolphins. The composer wrote this concert piece for his daughter Laurena, who is passionate about these animals. Dolphins are common in every world's ocean. The smallest is the Havisde dolphin and the largest is the black and white Orca. They live primarily in the shallow depths of the ocean and eat mainly fish. Dolphins are intelligent mammals who live in groups in places with plentiful food. They are social animals and therefore often swim alongside boats.
