Brandon Bay' ist eine aussergewöhnliche Komposition von Ed Huckeby, die in der dritten und vierten Stimme eine rhythmische Begleitung aufweist, die die einfache, aber musikalisch effektvolle Melodielinien der ersten und zweiten Stimmen kontrastiert. Der langsamere Mittelteil beinhaltet eine eindringliche Melodie im 3/4-Takt und ist ein ausgezeichnetes Lehrstück für das Legatospiel. Ed's Arrangement für die Build-a-Band-Serie macht das Stück auch mit sehr kleinen Orchestern und Orchestern mit großen Besetzungsproblemen spielbar und sorgt dafür, dass es ein Lieblingsstück für Konzert- und Wettbewerbsauftritte dieser Gruppen für die nächsten Jahre sein wird. Wie üblich in dieser Serie enthält die Ausgabe auch optionale Schlagzeug- und Klavierstimmen.
An outstanding composition by Ed Huckeby that features rhythmic accompaniment rhythms in the third and fourth parts contrasted with simple, but musically effective first and second part melodic lines. The slower middle section features a haunting melody in 3/4 time and is an excellent teaching toll for the legato style. Ed's arrangement for the Build-A-Band Series makes it playable with very small bands and bands with severe instrumentation issues and insures that it will be a favorite concert and contest selection for years to come for these groups. As usual with this series, optional parts are included for Percussion and piano.
