Using the English melody Early One Morning for a trio theme, Mruzek has crafted an extremely rewarding contemporary march. Many dramatic elements are drawn on in this work, including the humorous use of Reveille in the break strain (working with the early morning motif). Woodwind parts are especially challenging in the countermelody obbligatos toward the end of the march.
