Grand March by Ole Bull only existed as a piano arrangement of the three first parts. In 2010, when Ole Bulls two hundred years anniversary was celebrated in Norway, I made a reconstruction of the whole march based on copies of an old manuscript.
It had most certainly not been heard for more than hundred years.
The military band version from 1848 (by Johs Dente) had the following instrumentation:
Piccolo in Eb, Clarinet in Eb, Clarinet 1-4 in Bb, Cornet i Bb, Trumpet 1-2 in Eb, Horn i Eb, Horn in Bb, Tenor Trombone, Bassoon, Bass Tuba and Percussion.
It had most certainly not been heard for more than hundred years.
