Beschreibung:
There are quite few band arrangements from this Rock Musical. Five of the most well-known melodies are now available. (Aquarius- Good Morning Starshine - Hair - 'Walking In Space og 'Let the sunshine in) Each melody may be played separately. They are all in a key close to the original, so it will also do great with a vocal soloist. Some of the melody lines in the orchestra must then be played softer or left out. The arrangement is written as a potpourri. There are two Tuba parts. Tuba1 is used when having an electric bass in your band. If not, please use Tuba 2 as the main tuba line.
A few people still feel offended by this protest musical/film, which tells the story of a group of political active hippies that put a question mark on war, sex culture and drugs. But of course there is a love story too. The musical broke new ground in musical theatre by defining the genre of 'rock musical', using a racially integrated cast, and inviting the audience onstage for a 'Be-In' finale. After half a year 'Off Broadway (1967) it was moved to a main theatre on Broadway and together with the main show in London it did close to 4.000 evenings on these two places.
