One of the most influential of German romantic composers is Carl Maria von Weber (1786-1826). He is especially known because of his opera's but he composed some masses and a number of solo concerto's as well. For Clarinet, Carl Maria von Weber wrote two concerto's and a concertino. For bassoon he composed the 'Andante e Rondo Ungarese' and in 1811 the 'Concerto in F major'. But the first solo piece Weber composed was in 1805 for flute: 'Romanza siciliana'.
