Die 'sea Song Fantasy' wurde von der Symphonicity (dem Symphony Orchestra of Virginia Beach) in Auftrag gegeben und bei der Eröffnung ihrer neuen Konzerthalle im November 2007 uraufgeführt. Das Werk beinhaltet eine große Vielfalt von Seemannsliedern in unterschiedlichen Stilrichtungen - von bekannten Melodien bis hin zu den eher düsteren Liedern der Meere. Alle werden hier zu einem aufregenden Werk zusammengefasst und geben quasi jedem Instrument und jeder Instrumentenfamilie im Ensemble eine Hauptrolle.
Sea Song Fantasy' was commissioned by Symphonicity (the Symphony Orchestra of Virginia Beach) and premiered for the opening of their new concert hall in November 2007. The work features a wide variety of sea shanties in various styles, ranging from those well known melodies to more obscure songs of the sea. All are combined into an exciting work featuring virtually every instrument and family in the ensemble.
