Beschreibung:
Tortoises from 'The Carnival of the Animals' is a brand new arrangement of this movement from the orchestral suite by Camille Saint-Säens.
The slow and goofy turtle is given a hip-hop groove to speed up a bit but also face some competiton by a fast rabbit, presented by the woodwind-section.
This arrangement let the low brass play a slow, and veiled melody which are going to played a bit slower compared to the accompaniment.
For the daredevil conductor, this piece can be a kind of a 'schizophrenic' exercise where one have to conduct the melody one and a half beat behind the accompaniment and rhythm group.
