As a trombone player, the composer could not resist writing a piece for the trombone section. Swinging slides offers the trombone players a 3 or 4 parts (4th is optional) very swingy and jazzy piece. The first soloist has even the possibility of showing his/her ability to improvise on a chorus of written chords (a written solo is also included).
