Beschreibung:
The plot of Sullivan's Operetta The Mikado tells the story of Nanki-Poo, son of the Mikado of Japan and the young girl Yum-yum. The song ' The sun, whose rays are all ablaze' is sung by Yum-yum at the beginning of the second act. Her sisters and friends are helping to make her ready for her wedding. She concludes that she is more lovely than any other woman because she is a child of nature and takes after her mother. (Soprano and Concert Band)
