Anniversary Fanfare' was composed for the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony, Gary Ciepluch, Music Director, in celebration of their tenth anniversary. The composition is based on a ten-note fanfare that opens the work and serves as a catalyst for other ideas in this short piece. 'Festival Fanfare' was commissioned for the Blair Honor Band Festival, Blair, Nebraska, Linda Donohue, Director. It is a short ternary form composition, conceived around a single motive that is presented as two contrasting themes.
