The Spacious Firmament On High

A great way to introduce the classical style to smaller ensembles! Hal Hopson has married two wonderful melodies to form an original anthem. Borrowing from the chorus of The Heavens Are Telling from Haydn's Creation and the nineteenth-century hymn tune SAGINA, Hopson has penned a spirited song of praise for the Creator, proclaimed by creation itself. Arranged for two-part mixed voices with an accessible keyboard accompaniment, The Spacious Firmament on High can be learned with a minimal amount of rehearsal and is the perfect choice for summer vacation or 'emergency' Sundays when the choir loft may not be full. A must for every choral library for times when an anthem of praise and thanksgiving is needed, any time of the year.
