Nineteenth century composer and Organist Samuel Sebastian Wesley isthe grandson of Charles Wesley, founder of Methodism, and son of composer Samuel Wesley. He composed music almost entirely for the Anglican church and his works are frequently performed there. His goal throughout his workinglife was to raise the standard of country cathedral music in England.
