Beschreibung:
Igor Stravinsky was still three years away from the incendiary premiere of his ballet The Firebird in Paris when he wrote the Pastorale, from which this Alleluia has been adapted. The Pastorale was originally scored as asongwithout words for Soprano and Piano and dedicated to his teacher Rimsky-Korsakov's daughter Nadia. Stravinsky himself transcribed it several times over several decades for a variety of ensembles. In this version, the simpletext'Alleluia' has been added, parts for three Voices devised and an optional Piano accompaniment added.
