Fisher Tull's Missa Brevis for mixed chorus and percussion was premiered in Huntsville, Texas at the 24th Annual Contemporary Music Festival by the Sam Houston State University Choral conducted by B.R. Henson. Tull's setting of the Ordinary of the Mass juxtaposes traditional and contemporary techniques to prduc a montage representing the eternal meaning of the Eucharistic feast for all ages. Percussion instruments needed: Chimes, Tenor Drum, Ratchet, Tambourine, Maracas (2), Tom-toms (2), Woodblocks (2), and Snare Drum.
