Beschreibung:
For SATB with some division in T, unaccompanied. The Church Music Society affirms the importance of music in worship and of the effective use of music appropriate to its proper liturgical use. It strives always to sustain the Church's wonderful musical heritage. Publications range from modern editions of well-known (but sometimes neglected) items to music by living composers designed specifically for small congregations to sing and value. A rare nineteenth-century English example of an alternatim office hymn setting. The glorious Gregorian melody for Passiontide and feasts of the Holy Cross alternates with spacious harmony of noble simplicity. Wingham was Director of Music at the London Oratory from 1882 until his death in 1893.
