This piece was composed for the 1988 Olympic winter games in Calgary and is a fresh piece of music for most concerts, summer or winter. In a Flex-7 arrangement many choices can be made adapting the instrumentation to exactly the band playing the piece. Sections of the piece can be done as solo or tutti and some elements are made optional.
One can also use a piano soloist using the added piano part, as this is a piece many pianists like to play. If performed with a piano soloist, please omit some elements in the winds to make the pianist shine alone.
