Before Spring was commissioned by the OrchestrUtopica to be performed as an opening piece to Stravinky's The Rite of Spring, and it was first performed on the 29th of May 2010 by the OrchestrUtopica, conducted by Cesßrio Costa, at the CCB - Centro Cultural de Belém main auditorium, in Lisbon.
