A 13–14 minute work for Bassoon and String Quartet based on the 14th century Rye legend of Cantator & Amanda, the story of a forbidden love between the monk Cantator and local girl Amanda. Commissioned by Rye Arts Festival to celebrate its 40th anniversary and first performed on the 17th September 2011 at the Church of St Mary, Rye, Sussex by Julie Price, bassoon, and the Wihan Quartet.
