Snap!' was written in May of 2018 for the ZAWA! Flute duo, Jill Felber and Claudia Anderson. The basic rhythmic patterns of the piece grew out of sound samples demonstrating various extended techniques that were recorded by Claudia Anderson. The sound samples were expanded upon to form an overall framework, and then the live-performance flute duo material was composed such that it sometimes is interwoven with the background, and at other times soars above it.
