The composer writes: 'Simon Littlefield wrote the poem Sun stands still in June 2020. On reading it I could immediately see it working well as a song for treble and piano. I recorded a guide vocal and sent the song to the Hi Lo Singers agency. They suggested we record treble Benedict Moriarty, who appears on the recording accompanied by myself on piano.
