In the second movement, A Beacon in the Fog, one can hear the foghorns and feel a blanket of fog through the Impressionistic style of the music. Seaside Getaway, the lively final movement, suggests the bustling life on the boardwalk of Cape May, New Jersey, the first seaside resort in the United States.
