At some time in the winter 1982-83 when I was on the Faroe Islands, I had the idea of writing a paraphrase overLennon/McCartney's mystical song Blackbird from 'The White Album'. One could call it a deconstruction of Blackbird: to cut open the bird to see how it manages to sing. The piece was, however, not finished until1987.
