Ragtime is always a student favorite, and this solo delivers with style and fun! Written in the key of C major, the infectious syncopated rhythm of the right hand will be easy to learn as it is very patterned. The left hand accompaniment avoids the typical jump bass of the ragtime style and instead, stays in close position. Both the right hand and the left hand share in the melody. The A section features a right hand melody while the B section has the melody in the left hand. The A section returns in full with a short, four-measure coda at the end to complete this satisfying ragtime experience.
