This light, quick-paced piece is given a dance-like feel by the staccato, o meter technique, in which most of the piece is played above Middle C. There is a refreshing, modern harmonic movement, and the middle section gives the song a nice legato contrast to the main theme. The 'scherzo' is completed with the return to the main theme and a humorous ending.
