Hattiesburg is also the home of The University of Southern Mississippi. Its famous rose garden is featured in the lyrical second movement, 'The Perfect Rose.' The last movement acknowledges the fury of Mother Nature and the havoc she can bring to the Gulf coast in 'Hurricane Warning.'
