We are very pleased to introduce Simon Tait to our catalogue with this lively and exciting piece for the Christmas season which is full of spirit, which is perfectly captured in the recording from Bath Abbey courtesy of Shaun Bowers. Simon completed an ABRSM Diploma in piano performance in 2015 and subsequently studied orchestration at Morley College in London and composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama as a direct access student. He is particularly drawn to the evocative in music and the use of improvisation as part of the composition process. His music is atmospheric and he often produces organic intimate pieces which are lyrical and expressive. He writes for orchestra, piano and for piano with other instruments. He is a member of the Committee of the London Composer’s Forum and has carried out a number of projects with the London Contemporary Chamber Orchestra (LCCO) including a film score and concert pieces. He performs solo and with other musicians. He sings tenor with the Bath Choral Society and occasionally with other choirs.
