The Toccata is composed in one movement. Written specially for Michael Matthes’ CD ‘XXème’ (20th [Century]). The virtuosic and animated work alternates fanfares, trills and rythmically-played passages on the pedals – with a triumphant theme which appears little by little. The world premiere was given by Michael Matthes, 13th February 2012 at La Madeleine, Paris (France).
