Karel Husa

Magnificent work from Karel Husa written in honor of Bedrich Smetana. Demanding for all sections, the work begins quietly and quickly builds to open a concert with intensity and grandeur. Grades 4-5.

This piece was commissioned by Northwestern University School of Music in 1996. As its name implies, the piece explores the colors of the wind ensemble. Duration ca. 17 minutes.
